As Sr. Technical Product Manager for TransActiveGrid you will help define and execute a thorough roadmap and product priorities based on a strong understanding of consumer needs, insights, technology and market trends as well as solid energy economics.

You will closely partner with leaders across multiple functions to develop a cohesive product strategy, product roadmap, and to ensure business objectives are met and exceeded. Above all, you will be a constant champion for the needs of our consumers continuously pushing the envelope on how our product can help bridge the gap to a more decentralized energy future. You will report directly to the Sr. VP of Operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • In the first three months, actively contribute to an ongoing product review process and strategic prioritization levering your existing understanding of key market needs, existing offerings and utility value stack. You will provide insights and recommendations regarding prioritization of product features and market focus leveraging your market knowledge, experience and understanding of the electric and utility markets, innovative technologies.
  • Starting in Q2 2019, own the product platform lifecycle of our TransActiveGrid (TAG) platform and help manage the completion of our roadmap in close collaboration with product owners, technical leads and other internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the technical team leadership, product owners, BD, project managers and marketing to deliver impactful products
  • Stay abreast of the developments in the energy industry including related technological innovation, policy and other market trends
  • Monitor ongoingly the relevant competitive environments
  • Ongoingly collect and synthesize input from internal stakeholders, customers and the general market to inform business and product direction

  • Familiarity with electric wholesale and retail markets, utility business models, and/or flexibility options (demand response)
  • Solid understanding of and recent experiences working with DER technologies, behind-the-meter energy storage, microgrids, EVs, IoT and supporting services
